Caetano Dias (Brazil-BA)
His oeuvre straddles the boundaries between video, three-dimensional works and photography, exploring themes such as the relation between sacred and profane. He participated in the Mercosur, Valencia, and Buenos Aires biennials, and showcased his work at group and solo exhibitions in Brazil, Cuba, Venezuela, Ecuador, Canada, the United States, and Germany.

Federico Lamas (Argentina)
The holder of a degree in theater and audiovisual design, Lamas is a graphic artist, cartoonist, musician, VJ, and art director. Reminiscent of cinema and the pop universe, his videos build unusual narratives based on original technical solutions. His work has featured in festivals and exhibitions in Europe, Brazil, and Argentina.

Danillo Barata (Brazil-BA)
He earned a degree in drawing and plastics and a postgraduate degree in visual arts from the Federal University of Bahia. Barata makes documentaries, performances, and experimental video work. A professor at the School of Technologies and Sciences (locally FTC), he is also the president at the Association of Visual Artists of Bahia (locally AAV-Ba).

Eustáquio Neves (Brazil-MG)
He studied chemistry and music before building a body of work centered around the notion of memory and identity, and photographic image manipulation procedures. Neves participated in the Bienal de La Habana (1997) and in photography summits in Mali. He was awarded the 7th Marc Ferrez Photography Prize by Funarte RJ (1994), and the J. P. Morgan Grand Prize for Photography (1997).

Jamsen Law (Hong Kong/China)
An experimental artist, Law graduated from the University of Hong Kong and was a member of multimedia collective 20 Beans + A Box in the 1980s. A media art professor in Hong Kong, he studied at the Institute of Advanced Media Art and Science, in Japan, between 2004 and 2006. Jamsen Law is an associate curator at the Hong Kong Art Center, and one of the directors at the Microwave International Media Art Festival, in Hong Kong.

Marcellvs L. (Brazil-MG)
Holds a degree in visual communication and graphic design. His video work explores the Deleuzian concept of rhizome, and evolves into installation work. He has exhibited and won awards in festivals such as the Oberhausen (2005), held solo exhibitions at Paço das Artes, São Paulo (2005), and the Félix Guattari Institute, in Belo Horizonte (2003), and featured in the International Video Festival in Lisbon (2005).

> Videobrasil Sacatar Residency Prize

Nicolás Testoni (Argentina)
Received a degree in visual communication from the University of Buenos Aires, screened videos at festivals in The Netherlands, Germany, and England, and in the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires. Testoni earned an honorable mention for Canto de aves pampeanas at the Arte y Nuevas Tecnologías exhibition, promoted by MAMba-Fundación Telefónica.

> Videobrasil Capacete Residency Prize

Dan Halter (Zimbabwe)
Halter lived in Switzerland before settling in South Africa, where he graduated in the fine arts from the University of Cape Town. There he had his first solo exhibition, in 2006. His work featured in group exhibitions at the South African National Gallery and the Next Wave Festival in Melbourne, Australia. Dan Halter teaches classes in electronic production at the UCT.
