Geared towards disseminating knowledge on contemporary art and public formation, Associação Cultural has the priority strategy of developing modes of mediation that live up to the educational potential of the contents that it produces. Its systematic actions in exchange, reflection, and practice, such as meetings, workshops, and artistic residencies, were enhanced in 2009 through educational curatorial programmes that explore the themes and concepts of exhibitions such as Sophie Calle – Cuide de você (2009), thus improving the audience’s fruition. The expansion of mediated programmes will continue in 2010 with a programme that articulates Associação’s contents and research systems (documentaries, publications, data banks, the Collection) to provide training in contemporary art.
